Friends of the Wekiva River Inc

Friends of the Wekiva River Inc. is dedicated to the protection, preservation, and restoration of the Wekiva River system and its fragile ecosystem. Established in 1982, the organization has successfully advocated for the river's designation as a Florida Outstanding Water, a Florida Canoe Trail, an Aquatic Preserve, and a National Wild and Scenic River, encompassing over 70,000 acres of state-protected lands.
