Fort Mose Historic State Park is the site of the first legally sanctioned free African settlement in what is now the United States. Although there are no remains of the fort, visitors can learn more about the settlement in the park’s museum and explore the park grounds.

Everything was beautiful and the history was amazing. The kids really enjoyed it, but wear bug spray.

I love this park. It's great for an outdoors lunch with nature. The onsite museum is a plus. There is a very rich history at this park that is worth knowing. There is a walkway to overlook...
