Martin County Economical CNCL

The Economic Council of Martin County was formed in 1985 by a small group of business leaders. The purpose of the Economic Council is to bring together a cross section of the county's business and professional leaders who can, through their combined talents and resources, assist in resolving problems facing Martin County's economy and quality of life. The Council is a non-profit, non-partisan organization funded solely by member dues, and views itself as a catalyst between the private and public sectors, fostering dialogue, planning and action. Our accomplishments are realized through the ongoing activities and commitments of our strong committees and tireless members and volunteers. Our strong organizational structure provides opportunities for involvement in various committees such as Education, Bio-Science, Public Relations, Membership, Junior Achievement, and Governmental Relations. The Council hosts monthly breakfasts, luncheons and business meetings offering insight on community, state and federal issues with dynamic keynote speakers. In addition, we research, monitor and analyze issues that may impact either our quality of life or the business climate of Martin County and communicate this information to the public and government. Outstanding primary, secondary and post-secondary education opportunities. Education is essential if the Business Development Board is to be successful in recruiting and retaining quality businesses, attracting higher-paying wages and creating diverse business development opportunities. A community where business, government, and civic organizations seek to strengthen common bonds, not promote differences. We must embrace balance and inclusiveness and foster new leadership and diversity.
