The Suwannee River Water Management District is dedicated to managing water and related natural resources in north-central Florida. Their efforts encompass water quality and quantity monitoring, regulation, land acquisition, management, and flood protection.

With a focus on community engagement, the District provides educational opportunities, such as the Aquifer Academy, to promote understanding of the Floridan aquifer and water resources. They also host regular public meetings to ensure transparency and invite public participation in their governance and activities.
