Fairmount Park Elementary School

Fairmont Park Elementary serves students in grades prekindergarten through five. It is one of the schools governed by Pinellas County Schools. Located in St. Petersburg, Fla., the school offers classes in reading, mathematics, science, social studies and writing. Its reading curriculum focuses on areas, including predicting, main idea, author's purpose, ability to read a variety of texts, fact and opinion, and comparing and contrasting. Additionally, the school offers a variety of special services to enhance the education of its students. It offers extended-day tutoring in reading and writing, a student council, block scheduling, safety patrols and hourly teacher services. Fairmont Park Elementary also conducts various needs-specific programs, such as speech and language, specific learning disabilities, prekindergarten varying exceptionalities and students targeted for achievement and success.
