Welcome To Our PracticeIshwari Prasad, MD, PhD, PA, brings knowledge and compassion in treating patients with gastrointestinal issues in Tampa or Brandon, Florida, and offers them the best medical care for their concerns and needs. He shapes his professional life around the belief that patient care requires whole-person care, which includes the body, mind and spirit. A world traveler, he earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) for genetics at the University of Newcastle in Tyne, England, before completing his medical degree from the Universidad Autnoma De Ciudad Jurez in Chihuahua, Mexico. Upon completion, he took up residency training for internal medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania as well as joining fellowships at Philadelphia VA Medical Center and the University of Pennsylvania in rheumatology. He got fellowship training in gastroenterology at the State University of New York (SUNY) and Robertwood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.Over the years, he has treated patients with both common and complex gastrointestinal disorders, including abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colon cancer, acid reflux and GERD, hepatitis, pancreatitis, as well as Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
