Elana Deutsch, M.D., is a board-certified OB-GYN at Baptist Health, skilled in laparoscopic surgery.Before joining Baptist Health, Dr. Deutsch served as chief of gynecology at the Bay Pines VA in Bay Pines, Fla., and as an OB-GYN hospitalist at University Community Hospital in Tampa. She is an assistant professor of clinical biomedical sciences at the Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt School of Medicine, earning the 2015 Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinical Teacher of the Year award. Devoted to teaching, Dr. Deutsch also started an OB-GYN clerkship, creating the curriculum now used to teach medical students at Florida Atlantic University,Dr. Deutsch earned her medical degree and completed her OB-GYN residency at the University of South Florida. She is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.Understanding that everyone has their own story, Dr. Deutsch seeks to treat patients’ healthcare concerns and any accompanying psychosocial issues, such as sexual health, reproductive health, body image and interpersonal relationships.In her free time, Dr. Deutsch likes to exercise, bake and travel with her husband and two daughters.

He received his dual M.D./Ph.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. This was followed by four years of residency training in radiation oncology at Stanford University, where he served as chief resident. He was then appointed an assistant professor of radiation oncology at the University of Miami. Dr. Zeidan has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in the field, focusing on tailored radiotherapy options. He received several grants and awards from the radiological society of North America (RSNA) and the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). His work was recognized by the Young Leader Award from the Union for International Cancer Control. Dr. Zeidan approaches cancer care by taking the time to understand each patient’s social and psychological perspectives. He believes this is key for developing a successful treatment plan. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Zeidan enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending community events, visiting historical sites and reading.
