A native of Brazil, Dr. Christiano Caldeira received his medical degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais School of Medicine. He moved to the United States and performed his residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Case Western Reserve University. He then completed his fellowship in lung transplantation, heart transplantation and ventricular assist devices at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Caldeira is an expert in high-risk cardiac surgical procedures, and has a special interest in surgical therapies for the treatment of heart failure. Christopher Stone, MD is a board certified cardiothoracic surgeon with over 30 years of experience in the field of medicine, specializing in Cardio, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery. He graduated #1 with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his residency at Johns Hopkins. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. Dr. Stone is the Director of Cardiovascular Surgery at Largo Medical Center.
