For 20 years (1968-1989) trucks hauled trash to the the 445 acre Dyer Boulevard Landfill site until it finally closed. In April of 1995 the old landfill was turned into a park. The waste authority...

The only reason we stopped here was that there were geocaches here. We immediately recognized that this must have been a landfill especially since we saw the current one across the highway....

Go on a walk, run, or whatever! Enjoy this beautiful land made park!! Boyfriend and I went on a walk here and we can confirm that the view was nice and it was quiet and isolating!
