Domenech Asbun, M.D., FACS, is a hepatobiliary, pancreas and foregut surgeon at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. He specializes in minimally invasive surgical procedures to treat liver, pancreatic and upper gastrointestinal diseases. Prior to joining Miami Cancer Institute in 2021, Dr. Asbun completed a fellowship in minimally invasive hepatopancreatobiliary and foregut surgery at Mayo Clinic Florida. Apart from hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, he has a strong interest in global surgery and surgical simulation. Dr. Asbun has presented at national and international academic meetings and has published research in multiple high-impact journals.

He served as chief resident during his radiation oncology residency at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte. He continued his postdoctoral training at the University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute in Jacksonville, completing a fellowship in adult radiation oncology and a fellowship in pediatric radiation oncology. During his schooling, Dr. Hall was inducted into such prestigious honor societies as Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
