Dennis Orkoulas-Razis, M.D., MHS, is a board-certified hematologist oncologist at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. He is passionate about medical oncology with specific interests in gastrointestinal cancers, early onset cancers and cancer prevention. Dr. Orkoulas-Razis is actively involved in research activities to improve cancer care, and his work has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at national symposiums. He serves as a reviewer for the National Cancer Control Plans for the Union for International Cancer Control and the World Health Organization. He also contributes to the scientific community as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. After earning a master’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology with honors at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Dr. Orkoulas-Razis earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, also located in Baltimore. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and a hematology oncology residency at Montefiore Einstein Medical Center in New York City. He is board certified in internal medicine and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. As a medical oncologist, Dr. Orkoulas-Razis guides his patients through the difficult path of cancer care. He delivers advanced, compassionate, patient-focused care aligned with each patient’s values and choices. Dr. Orkoulas-Razis is fluent in English and Greek and conversational in Spanish and French. Outside of medicine, he enjoys world travel, soccer, cooking and movies.

Manuel Ozambela, Jr., M.D., is a urologic surgical oncologist at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Ozambela completed his fellowship in urologic oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. During the fellowship, he worked with a multidisciplinary group of investigators to study rare and aggressive kidney tumors with the goal of identifying novel treatment options. He has authored multiple scientific abstracts, manuscripts and book chapters on various topics in urologic oncology. Through his research, he strives to identify new diagnostic and treatment options for genitourinary cancers, improve patient recovery after surgery and enhance his patients’ quality of life.Understanding that he often meets patients during significantly stressful moments, Dr. Ozambela takes time to talk through diagnoses and treatment options. Through excellent communication and shared decision-making, he works with his patients to create treatment plans that reflect their individual goals. Dr. Ozambela is a South Florida native and enjoys spending time with his growing family when not taking care of patients.
