Barbara Celeiro, APRN, is a certified advanced nurse practitioner with more than 22 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. At Baptist Health, she specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic illnesses in the adult and geriatric population. She speaks fluent English and Spanish. With more than 31 years of healthcare experience, Barbara started her registered nurse career in 1991 at Baptist Hospital. She earned her master's degree in nursing from the University of Miami in 1999. She later earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from University of South Alabama in 2013. She has managed the care of Baptist Health patients in a variety of urgent, intermediate and primary care settings.She has served as chair of the Baptist Health Advanced Practice Clinical Practice Committee and has been a member of several Baptist Health committees including the Baptist Health System Advanced Practice Advisory Council.Barbara is passionate about teaching lifestyle changes that focus on plant-based eating, intermittent fasting and physical activity to improve personal health. As she manages the care of her patients, she listens closely to their concerns, supports their individual needs and provides education to help empower the best healthcare decisions possible.In her free time, Barbara loves to stay active and spend time with family and friends.
