David Forcione, M.D., is a board-certified Baptist Health gastroenterologist, who uses advanced therapeutic endoscopic techniques to treat diseases such as Barrett’s esophagus, colon polyps and disorders of the pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts. Before joining Baptist Health, Dr. Forcione was an instructor and assistant professor at Harvard Medical School. He earned his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. Then he completed his internal medicine residency and advanced endoscopy fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.An author and co-author of more than 60 papers, abstractsand book chapters, Dr. Forcione’s work has been published in peer-reviewed publications such as the American Journal of Surgical Pathology, Indian Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of Biomedical Optics, Journal of Surgical Endoscopy and The Clinician’s Guide to Pancreaticobiliary Disorders. His clinical research focuses on the surgical repair of complex aortic aneurysms, and his team is currently studying the safety and efficacy of a novel, state-of-the-art aortic stent graft to treat aortic aneurysms.
