Berg Steel Pipe manufactures carbon steel line pipe compliant with customer specifications. The company offers line pipe with diameters between 24 inches and 64 inches and weight grade B, less than or equal to X42, X46, X52, X56, X60, X65, and X70. It also handles each stage of line pipe production, beginning with edge planning, where each plate is checked for dimensional accuracy and where a unique pipe number is assigned to track the pipe through production. From here, the production process continues through 19 more stages, where the plates are formed into rolls through a unique three-roll formation process, refined, inspected and finally shipped to customers throughout North America. Since its establishment in 1980, the company has manufactured and supplied millions of tons of line pipe to companies, including Enron, Shell, Amaco and Williams Gas Pipeline.
