HistoryI have been pet sitting, dog walking, as well as helping with leash training and housebreaking for neighbors, friends and family for many years. I have always really enjoyed it and found myself wanting to pursue it as a business. I officially formed my business, Gentle Lead Pet Care, LLC, in the spring of 2011 and I also worked full time at another job. In May of 2013 I decided to quit my full time job and do pet sitting & dog walking full time. I also help people with leash training and basic command training. Dogs are my passion, but I love all animals! I've worked at two different animal hospitals, one here in VA (Caring Hands in Bristow) and one in Maine, where I am originally from. I am certified in Pet CPR and first aid (renewed in 2013). I am also insured and bonded through PSI.SpecialtiesDog Walking: Are you working long hours or just don't have time in the mornings or evenings to take your dog for a good walk? I can go over daily and take your dog/s for a nice walk to help release energy and get some fresh air. A dog that has a good walk during the day is a calm dog later in the evening. I will even map our walk and email or text message you our route!! Discount for 5 day a week walks (if you're within 5 miles of my home). Pet Sitting: Pet sitting is usually done in your home. I will visit your pet several times a day, each time making sure your pet is exercised, has fresh water and all other needs are met. Over night care, either in your home or boarding in mine, can also be provided. Please contact me if you prefer over night care.
