CSX Transportation is the principal operating company for CSX Corporation, which CSX Corporation owns one of the United States leading transportation companies that provides rail, intermodal and rail-to-truck trans-load services that connect 70 ocean, river and lake ports, in addition to 230 short line and regional railroads. CSX Transportation operates the largest railroad in the eastern United States.
