The Crestview Police Department provides law enforcement services, deters criminal activities, maintains law and order, and protects lives and property. It operates communication, patrol, criminal investigation, crime prevention and street crimes units. The department s community service division offers personal safety presentations, home and business security surveys, and neighborhood watch and child fingerprint identification programs. In addition, the Crestview Police Department supports Project Lifesaver, which is an international program that helps in the early recovery of missing individuals. It supports a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team that responds to hostage and sniper situations, barricaded suspects, personal protection and high-risk apprehension, as well as provides warrant services.
