HistoryRAS was founded in 1998 by Raul Schwerdt, PE to provide consulting engineering and building performance/construction materials testing for high-rise buildings. Mr. Schwerdt is licensed in the State of Florida and New York with over 30 years of industry experience. He has provided expert testimony and consulting services related to the evaluation of performance and preservation of High -Rise Buildings. He is an active member of the American Society of Testing Materials, Roof and Envelope Consulting Institute and ASHRAE.SpecialtiesWe provide expert advice and evaluation to give you the best plan to achieve optimal results for building efficiency and energy conservation. We specify materials/ equipment to comply with up-to-date codes. Our approach includes: assessing the structural condition, audit energy savings advantages, measuring and testing systems, develop performance specifications, design sustainable walls, review specifications for the Quality Assurance Plan, perform mock-up tests, and perform material tests during construction. The final stages of our approach involves commissioning envelope for Air Quality and Energy Savins and integrating envelope glazing to achieve Net-Zero Energy.

in 1971 meyer gorin graduated from the universidad de los andes in bogotá, colombia s.a. with a degree in architecture. he began his practice in bogotá designing and supervising many projects, which ranged from industrial factories to entire communities. in 1978, meyer moved to the united states, and has been a registered architect in florida (r.a. # 9700) since 1983. arkidesign inc. is a florida registered corporation and has been in business since 1986. instead of devoting all his time and efforts into just an architectural firm, he decided to create a construction company to transform his designs into realities. this company, known as sila construction, works both in conjunction and independently from arkidesign inc. as of 1997, meyer gorin and arkidesign inc. have completed over 400 projects in the united states and the rest of the world. the two are constantly looking for new projects and developing their new ideas into realities.
