Covenant Hospice provides care to patients with terminal illnesses and their loved ones, and has several offices in Florida, including one located in Panama City. Established in 1983, it offers a coordinated health care program that provides comfort to patients and supportive care to patients and their loved ones in both home and facility-based settings. Its team includes care givers, medical doctors, registered nurses, home health aides, social workers, chaplains, counselors and volunteers. Its services are available 24-hours, seven-days a week and includes nursing and personal care services, such as pain management, symptom control and skilled patient care, family counseling, specialized support services to children, help in understanding and utilizing Medicare and other insurance benefits, and bereavement support workshops.
