The Traffic Division is a part of the Palm Beach County Government and provides services for the safe and efficient movement of traffic on roads through professional traffic engineering. It designs and installs signalization, pavement markings and signing. The division also offers engineering input for road construction projects, land development, and site and transportation planning. Its construction section constructs new intersection signal installations, including poles, wires, vehicle and pedestrian signals and vehicle detection loops. The division also installs and maintains street lights and repairs signal equipment at intersections damaged by vehicular accidents. The Traffic Division additionally operates traffic data analysis section that conducts engineering studies related to the movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic on county roads, as well as offers engineering assistance to municipalities. The division is located in West Palm Beach, Fla.
