Alberto Ortiz, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in nephrology, hypertension, and kidney transplant care. He received his medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. From there, Dr. Ortiz completed an internship in psychiatry, as well as a residency in internal medicine, at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., before completing his fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla.
