Community Rehabilitation Center, located in Jacksonville, Fla., provides a community need for a comprehensive rehabilitation program in Duval, Clay and Nassau counties in the state. Founded in 1993, it creates a comprehensive multicultural mental health, substance abuse, and HIV and AIDS services and psychosocial programs. It attempts to reconnect to society people who are alienated from their communities because of mental illness, substance abuse or HIV and AIDS. This reconnection occurs through a sense of reinforced responsibility and increased significance for members of these targeted groups in relation to peers, family and community. Community Rehabilitation Center provides various facilities including psychosocial rehabilitation day treatment, outpatient substance abuse treatment, vocational and employment services, mental health drop-in center and supportive housing services.
