Established in 1970, the Panama City Beach Police Department offers crime prevention and law enforcement services. The department operates special investigation division that improves the quality of life of citizens and visitors of the city by apprehending criminals that sell, deliver and consume illegal controlled substances. Its patrol division includes uniformed patrol officers and consists of several specialized teams. The Panama City Beach Police Department s field training division s responsibilities include the training of all new recruits in the various aspects of the field of law enforcement.
