The Child Abuse Council of Tampa, Florida is a private, nonprofit agency that provides consultation, education and service programs to aid children and families in Hillsborough County, Fla. The organization receives support from the Children s Board of Hillsborough County, the United Way of Tampa Bay, the Healthy Start Coalition, the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners, the Junior League of Tampa, the school district of Hillsborough County, the Florida Department of Children and Families, the Commission on Marriage and Family Support, and private donations from individuals, corporations and foundations. The council provides programs, such as support groups and training classes for parents, and operates centers that provide care of children.
