Dr. Mark Ryan is originally from Columbus, Ohio and joined our Woodlands team in July 2013. He received his BA in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame, spending his junior year studying in Toledo, Spain. There he learned Spanish, which he continues to speak fluently. Dr. Ryan then earned joint MD and MBA degrees from the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. As a part of this MD/MBA program, he studied models of health care delivery and worked with the Pan American Health Organization in providing technical assistance to the development of primary care systems in Venezuela. Next, he was on to New York, NY to fulfill his residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center. He was honored as Chief Resident of his residency program and worked on the planning team that converted the hospital systems
