Capt. Anderson's restaurant is one of those rare family restaurants that not only survives but strengthens and improves through the years. Founded in 1967 by brothers, Jimmy and Johnny Patronis, Capt. A's has been named among America's Top 50 restaurants, received multiple Southern Living "Best Seafood Restaurant" awards, and Wine Spectator's "Best of Award of Excellence." Capt A's was awarded Florida Trend's Golden Spoon Award 15 times before being inducted into the Restaurant Hall of Fame, the highest honor they can bestow upon a restaurant. Year 'round, the Patronis family works with fishermen and others who make their living harvesting local waters, to preserve and protect the rich natural bounty of the Gulf Coast; it is part of the Capt. Anderson’s legacy, and one of the most important reasons this landmark restaurant serves more fresh local seafood than any other restaurant in Florida. *The Capt. A's Wine Cellar and invitation only wine & champagne tasting dinners are legendary!

Only giving two stars because we did not have a wait and the server, Felicia, was great. I got the broiled seafood platter and the scallops and shrimp were so rubbery and hard to even eat, but...

Really cool place to visit but WAY over priced food $30 appetizers and way overpriced food. Great atmosphere but a lot better food offered at local mom and pops
