History

Canale Diaz Art Center was looking to open the local art market to Latin-American artists through three main streams: - New Abstraction - Neo-Pop - Conceptual Figuration With rotating exhibitions year-round, we came to the conclusion that we wished to open our doors to all talented artists, because many remain unknown to the US market. Our prime location, in the heart of Coral Gables, offers collectors the opportunity to keep in touch with the promising talent from the region and many artists the chance to integrate the international art market.

Specialties

Primarily focused on Latin American Contemporary Art, promoting emerging and established artists, as well as masters, through three main streams: New Abstraction, Neo-Pop and Conceptual Figuration. Extraordinary venue for your corporate VIP events and the center has a specialized team that offers art advisory services, as well as framing, handling, packing and transportation for your artworks. The center also fuses other forms of artistic expressions, such as performing arts and literature in their events with the purpose of proving a culturally enriching experience to the public.

In view of the catastrophe that recently struck Haiti, HCAA proposes, during the crisis period, to shift its attention to assist as much as it can, victims of the disaster-hence the creation of the HAITIAN ART RELIEF FUND. The Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance (Alyans Atizay Ayisyen, Inc) was founded in 1994 as a not-for profit, 501 3 tax- exempt foundation. It is dedicated to the preservation of Afro-Caribbean history, with an emphasis on Haitian culture, focusing in the areas of music, literature, dance and the visual arts. HCAA is the home of the Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance Archive, which houses a priceless collection of historical documents. This collection includes manuscripts, documents signed by founding fathers, maps, architectural renditions, new and old books, photographs, and films on Haiti and the Afro-Caribbean community. HCAA takes pride and joy in facilitating and mounting art exhibits, presenting poets, musicians, and artists of all genres to a larger South Florida audience. HCAA also facilitates the Haiti Pavilion at the prestigious Miami Book Fair International annually. Through this effort, countless writers have been introduced to the public, raising the awareness of our rich cultural diversity.
