101 S Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
Café Del Mar, established in 2002, has been a favorite spot on Fort Lauderdale Beach for both locals and tourists alike. This family-owned restaurant is known for its homemade Italian dishes, fresh produce, and fresh seafood from their on-premise lobster tank. Best-sellers include Oven Roasted Seafood Cartoccio, a pasta in Pomadoro Sauce with shrimp, clams, calamari and mussels, Roasted Snapper Whole Fish served on a plank, Calamari, and oversized frozen cocktails. As the night falls, it transitions into a relaxing and sensual vibe with trendy night music and live saxophone performances on Fri, Sat, and Sun, creating a mellow mood to pair with dessert martinis or your preferred cocktails at the bar. It’s a perfect casual-chic place to breathe in ocean breezes, day or night.

Beautiful view of the ocean and good people watching. Service was okay. Watermelon drink was delicious and the giant martini glass of calamari was impressive.

Both the service and the food need improvement. Chicken wings were dry and without flavor - the po-boy had 5 shrimp - 2 1/2 per half of sandwich.
