Broward County Sheriff's Office is a full-service public safety agency, offering a wide range of law enforcement services the Broward County in Florida. Its bomb squad is a federally accredited bomb disposal unit that provides assistance to local, state and federal agencies in the city. The department staffs more than 2,800 certified deputies and over 600 fire rescue professionals, and is one of the largest nationally accredited sheriff's department in the United States. Its canine team provides support and assistance in building and area searches, crowd control, evidence and article searches, victim and missing person searches, bomb and narcotic searches, and suspect tracking. The department also offers various civil services and child protective investigation services.
