HistoryOrthopaedic Associates of St. Augustine was formed when Doctors James Grimes and Albert Volk joined their practices at Flagler Hospital in 1999. With the addition of Dr. Kurtis Hort, they opened their new state-of-the-art facility in September of 2004. The practice continues to expand and opened an additional office in the northern St. Johns County / Jacksonville area, conveniently located on County Road 210. The group continues to bring on additional doctors and services in order to provide multi-specialty orthopaedic care for the entire body. The expansion of the practice allows us to better meet the growing needs of our patients.SpecialtiesDr. Volk has a particular interest in treating conditions of the shoulder, specializing in an all-arthroscopic rotator cuff repair of the shoulder, which results in less pain and faster recovery. He is also the past Chief Medical Advisor for the Professional Women's Tennis Association and has extensive experience in treating professional, collegiate and high school athletes.
