Brevard County Utility Service

The Utility Services Department is one of the service divisions operated by the government of Brevard County, Fla. The department, located in Melbourne, Fla., administers the county's drinking water and wastewater programs. It offers a variety of services, such as drinking water treatment and distribution services, wastewater collection and treatment services and reclaimed water services in several areas throughout the county. The Utility Services Department is a county agency operating under the control and authority of the Brevard County s board of commissioners. The department also provides and maintains sewer service for customers and its reclaimed water system offers water for irrigating lawns and landscaping. Its sewage system includes building and public gravity sewers, pumping stations, force and pressure mains, treatment plants, organic substances and sludge disposal, and water and effluent disposal.
