Boys & Girls Clubs of Polk County

The Boys & Girls Club, Joe L Saunders Unit of Bartow, FL, offers enrichment activities to provide youth with more resources to become productive members of the community. Our school-aged programs focus on topics such as education, health and wellness, the arts, leadership, and positive behavior skills. Clubs provide onsite after-school care, homework help, tutoring, and health & sports activity, plus, offsite enrichment activities to museums, aquariums, state parks, and sporting events.

Our mission is to aid child abuse victims and families by providing coordinated services in a safe, child-friendly environment from report and investigation through treatment and resolution.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay offer programs in five-core areas that include character and leadership, education and career development, health and life skills, arts and sports, fitness and recreation. Based in Tampa Bay, Fla., the B&GC s other locations in the same area are in Sarah Street, Kay Street, Yukon, Jackson Springs Road, South Coolidge Avenue, West Gladys Street, West Mango Drive, East Chelsea, North Boulevard, Destin Drive and West Sligh Avenue. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay also has a computer program where students are taught how to use computers and software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet research.
