History
Was originally founded as Al and Bob's Barbershop by Al Sanders, Bob Bowen, and Margaret Bowen at 1144 NE 16th Ave in Gainesville, FL. 1999 we moved from our old shop location to its current location on Nw 23rd Avenue. Around 2001 the Central Florida barber school moved into the other half of our current location, and then closed near the end of 2005. The real history of this barbershop was to be found between the days after first opening in 1982, and the last of our real barbers leaving the field between 1999 and 2007.

We have been offering classic/traditional cuts, hot lather straight razor shaves, and great conversation since 1982. Just had one of the breast cuts I've ever had. Doug is amazing. The cut I left with reminded me of the Corps back in the 90's. I'll be driving 90 minutes from Live Oak for my haircuts from now on.
