The Blind & Shutter Gallery was established in 2001 by Peter Haggar. Peter saw the area's need for a custom window treatment source and opened his doors on Beach Drive in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg. As business grew, he moved the business to its current convenient 4th Street North location. Peter is a third generation window treatment professional. His grandfather started by fabricating shutters in New York City and passed on his passion for quality window treatments and the best client service. Peter and his wife Brenna now run The Blind & Shutter Gallery, along with their incredible team of experienced design and installation professionals. In 2011, The Blind & Shutter Gallery became Hunter Douglas' Authorized Service Center for St. Petersburg and the surrounding areas. In 2013, The Blind & Shutter Gallery became a Hunter Douglas Gallery dealer. This is a prestigious designation by Hunter Douglas that requires nomination and a stringent business and customer service review process. It designates window treatment retailers that specialize in providing the finest quality custom window treatments and client service in the industry. Each of The Blind & Shutter Gallery's Design Consultants and Installers are professionally trained and are on staff. They do not subcontract any work. Their team has more than 80 years' combined experience in the window treatment, design, and installation industry. Together they have covered more than 30,000 windows in Tampa Bay since 2001.
