Bar Orlando
The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) of Orlando was established in 1980 to pursue redevelopment and revitalization activities within a 1,664-acre Downtown Redevelopment Area. Its mission focuses on enhancing housing and cultural arts opportunities, improving long-term transportation needs, and encouraging retail development while addressing slum and blight conditions.
Funded by general ad valorem tax revenues from increased property values, the CRA operates under Florida statutes and is governed by members of the Orlando City Council. The agency launched Project DTO in 2014, resulting in the DTOVision Plan and DTO Outlook, which outline a comprehensive vision for the future of downtown Orlando based on community input.
