Raul A. Rosario-Concepcion, M.D., is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute, specializing in the musculoskeletal system with a focus on sports medicine. His professional interests include the diagnosis and management of chronic tendinopathy using advanced procedures such as platelet-rich plasma, ultrasonic tenotomy and debridement (TENEX) and tendon scraping. He also has advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound, which enhances both diagnostic applications and guided minimally invasive procedures. Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Rosario-Concepcion served as an assistant professor in the physical medicine and rehabilitation department and sports medicine division at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. He also served as a team physician for the University of North Florida’s NCAA Division 1 athletic teams and the USA Basketball Junior National Teams. Dr. Rosario-Concepcion earned his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan. He completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. He is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in physical medicine and rehabilitation and earned a Certificate of Added Qualifications in sports medicine. In addition to his extensive clinical expertise, Dr. Rosario-Concepcion has contributed significantly to the advancement of clinical research. He has published his work in prestigious medical journals and presented at prominent national and international scientific symposiums. He is also actively involved in teaching sports medicine ultrasound at multiple high-level conferences, where his advanced ultrasound skills distinguish him from others in the field. Dr. Rosario-Concepcion provides compassionate, evidence-based care that not only addresses the injury but also enhances the patient’s overall quality of life. His care philosophy is patient centered. Steven Hale, M.D., is a fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. He provides patient-focused care that supports active lifestyles at every age and ability level. He manages all types of sports-related injuries and guides patients through safe, evidence-based return-to-play protocols. He often utilizes diagnostic and interventional ultrasound alongside non-invasive treatments to enhance patient care. Dr. Hale is particularly passionate about helping patients recover from acute or chronic musculoskeletal injuries while respecting their personal goals, which may include returning to competitive sport, staying active at work or enjoying daily activities without pain. He also has a strong interest in injury prevention, healthy diet, patient education and using exercise as medicine to improve overall health. Dr. Hale earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. He served as academic chief during a family medicine residency at Central Michigan University in Saginaw, Michigan, and was a research assistant at Gerling Spine Care and Research Institute in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Hale’s clinical training also includes a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Baptist Health | FIU in Miami, Florida. During his fellowship training, Dr. Hale provided primary care sports medicine services for Miami-Dade County Public Schools and collegiate level athletes at FIU, Barry University and St. Thomas University. He also assisted in coverage for many professional sports teams and major sporting events including the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, Florida Panthers, Inter Miami FC, Inter Miami Nextpro, Fort Lauderdale United FC, Miami Marathon, Miami Open and the Orange Bowl. He currently serves as a team physician for FIU and Barry University. Educating patients about their condition and involving them in shared decision-making are key components of Dr. Hale’s patient care protocol. His goal is to empower patients through collaborative care and individualized rehabilitation plans that keep them moving, healthy and doing what they love. When Dr. Hale is not treating patients, he enjoys working out, scuba diving, singing and playing sports like volleyball and basketball.

Gautam Yagnik, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. Dr. Yagnik specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow and knee. He is the team physician for the Miami Dolphins and the Florida Panthers. He has served as assistant team physician for the University of Miami and Florida International University football teams. He has also provided orthopedic coverage for Super Bowl LIV, BCS National Championship Game, FedEx Orange Bowl, Miami Open and NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. His experience caring for elite, collision sport athletes provides him with advanced knowledge he uses to treat all of his patients. Dr. Yagnik graduated at the top of his class in medical school and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. During medical school, he performed surgical research that yielded two prestigious grants from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. During his residency, he was elected administrative chief resident and was given the Willard Award for the most outstanding resident. Dr. Yagnik currently serves as chairman of the Department of Surgery at West Kendall Baptist Hospital and was named Physician of the Year for West Kendall Baptist Hospital in 2018. He is also actively involved in medical education as a clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Florida International University and as assistant program director for the Doctors Hospital/UHZ Sports Medicine Institute’s Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. Dr. Yagnik conducts clinical and biomechanical research to advance the field of orthopedic sports medicine and has published numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles. He is currently studying arthroscopic rotator cuff repair in professional athletes. He regularly attends and presents at various meetings, including the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine Annual Meeting as well as the NFL and NHL Team Physician Meeting. Dr. Yagnik’s care philosophy is to treat each patient like family. He takes a conservative approach to orthopedic care and recommends nonsurgical options whenever possible.When he is not treating patients, Dr. Yagnik enjoys spending time with his family, swimming and exercising.
