Frantz Lerebours, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. He has more than 10 years of experience providing compassionate and comprehensive orthopedic care. His expertise extends to a wide range of surgical procedures, including complex shoulder and knee ligament reconstruction, rotator cuff repairs as well as shoulder replacement surgery. He utilizes patient-specific technology combined with artificial intelligence and 3D printing to improve the accuracy of shoulder replacement and resurfacing surgery. He also has a background in orthopedic trauma and fracture surgery. Dr. Lerebours joined Baptist Health Orthopedic Care in 2020 from Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. During his time in Los Angeles, he provided sports medicine team coverage for the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Kings. Dr. Lerebours currently serves as a team physician for the Miami HEAT and Florida International University Athletics and as a consultant for Inter Miami Soccer. Graduating with top honors from Howard University College of Medicine, Dr. Lerebours went on to serve as chief resident during his orthopedic residency at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, which is regarded as the premier orthopedic surgery training program in the country. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship at the world-renowned Kerlan Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. Dr. Lerebours is widely regarded by his peers for his expert surgical skills and ability. He has been honored with numerous awards, including the Southern California Super Doctors Rising Stars Award, Castle Connolly Top Doctor Award, America’s Top Doctor Award, Ralph Lusskin Resident Teacher of the Year Award and Charles H. Epps Award for Excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery. His research has been published in peer-reviewed publications. Renowned for his exceptional bedside manner and communication skills, Dr. Lerebours fosters a supportive and empathetic environment for his patients. Annie Plate, M.D. (formerly Annie Weber, M.D.), is a board certified orthopedic hand surgeon, specializing in fracture management, arthritis, nerve compression, joint replacement and microsurgery, at Baptist Health.Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Plate completed her hand and upper extremity fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. During her residency, she received the University of Maryland Resident Researcher of the Year award and an AOTrauma North America’s 2019 Resident Research grant. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. A strong believer in giving back to the community, Dr. Plate served as a mentor for the University of Maryland School of Medicine Orthopaedic Interest Group, a counselor at Camp Open Arms and a member of the University of Maryland Medical Center Orthopaedics Resident Education Improvement Committee. Dr. Plate believes in building trusting, open and informative patient-physician relationships. With evidence-based, understandable healthcare plans, she provides the best treatment option to meet individual goals.When she is not treating patients, Dr. Plate enjoys activities on the water – sailing, snorkeling and SCUBA diving.

Michael Yurubi, D.O., is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician, specializing in the prevention, diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment muscular-skeletal system injuries. He is fluent in English and Spanish.Prior to joining Baptist Health in in 2022, Dr. Yurubi completed his primary care sports medicine fellowship for Baptist Health Orthopedic Institute, part of Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. During his fellowship, he researched ortho-biologics and platelet-rich plasma. Dr. Yurubi uses ultrasound guided procedures to provide the most innovative and effective care for his patients. He is a contributor to residency telemedicine curriculum development and is an active member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine and the American Association of Family Practice. Dr. Yurubi’s care philosophy is patient-centered, understanding that patients play a crucial role in treatment decisions. He provides individualized treatment plans based on patients’ goals and a strong understanding of their lifestyle. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Yurubi enjoys spending time with friends and family, exercising and traveling.
