Dr. Williams, a board-certified cardiologist, earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University and graduated in the top 1 percent of his class. He completed residency training in internal medicine and cardiology at the University of California and completed advanced fellowship training in cardiology at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas.
