Armadillo Enterprises Armadillo Enterprises is a manufacturer and distributor of musical instruments located in sunny Tampa, FL. Armadillo serves hundreds of music stores throughout the country, from small operations to national chains, and does so with a strong belief in customer service. Armadillo's commitment to customized client service as well as the needs of musicians is the driving force behind our constant growth and success. Currently in our 14th year of operation, Armadillo's operates in a 110, 000 square foot facility in the heart of Tampa's distribution district, and is home to Dean Guitars, Luna Guitars, and ddrum. Armadillo began in 1994 as a manufacturer of flight and tour cases. Armadillo Case Co became Armadillo Enterprises when distribution opportunities arose, and CEO Elliott Rubinson began acquiring brands. In 1997 Dean Guitars was purchased and the process of rebuilding the brand to its legendary status began with new models and an aggressive marketing strategy. Over the next several years, Armadillo marketed and distributed several brands, including Nord and Oberheim keyboards, and Red Sound DJ products, and sought new opportunities to create new guitar, keyboard, and drum brands. In 2005, Armadillo expanded. The ddrum brand was purchased and transformed into an acoustic drum line that emphasizes professional features at consumer prices. Luna Guitars was born in 2005 also, becoming a guitar line that merges functionality with art, quality with affordability, and marketing with social conscience.
