Anurag Agarwal, M.D., is a double board-certified radiation oncologist who treats all types of cancers using a wide spectrum of world-class technologies at Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute. Dr. Agarwal offers a range of radiation therapies for cancer patients, focusing on breast, prostate, lung and brain tumors, as well as soft-tissue sarcomas. He specializes in advanced methods of stereotactic radiosurgery — the precise use of radiation beams to target tumors. He holds certifications in surgical and minimally invasive radiation interventions, including proton beam therapy, Gamma Knife machines and CyberKnife. He also serves as an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Miler School of Medicine and the Florida Atlantic University Schmidt College of Medicine.Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Agarwal served as the medical director of Radiation Oncology at Broward Health, where he implemented the county’s first CyberKnife program.After achieving his bachelor’s degree in philosophy, Dr. Agarwal earned his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and his radiation oncology residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine before continuing on to Harvard Medical School for his proton beam therapy fellowship. Dr. Agarwal likes to apply the newest testing technologies with a unique, evidenced-based plan to best serve his patients. His approach includes the developing branch of theranostics, which uses radioactive isotopes to help diagnose and treat certain cancers. He regularly incorporates genomic testing into his practice and uses PET-CT, MRI, PSMA-PET-CT and4D-gated CT to track real-time respiratory motion, and other tests to create a unique treatment plan specific for each patient. His research on gene therapy and oncology can be found in various peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr. Agarwal believes that the secret to providing exceptional patient care is, quite simply, to genuinely care. Youssef Zeidan, M.D., Ph.D. is a radiation oncologist at Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health. Dr. Zeidan specializes in treating breast cancer, brain and spine tumors, gastrointestinal cancers, and soft tissue sarcomas. Dr. Zeidan joined Lynn Cancer Institute from the American University of Beirut, where he served as residency program director and associate professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology. He received his dual M.D./Ph.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. This was followed by four years of residency training in radiation oncology at Stanford University, where he served as chief resident. He was then appointed an assistant professor of radiation oncology at the University of Miami. Dr. Zeidan has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in the field, focusing on tailored radiotherapy options. He received several grants and awards from the radiological society of North America (RSNA) and the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). His work was recognized by the Young Leader Award from the Union for International Cancer Control.Dr. Zeidan approaches cancer care by taking the time to understand each patient’s social and psychological perspectives. He believes this is key for developing a successful treatment plan. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Zeidan enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending community events, visiting historical sites and reading.
