During the past five years, the BDB has assisted companies that have created more than 10,000 direct jobs with average salaries greater than $58,000, resulting in more than $595 million in capital investment to Palm Beach County and an economic impact that exceeds $4.1 billion.Every day, our team of dedicated professionals works to strengthen the economic vitality of our community.We believe we can make a difference in our community by constantly strengthening our existing businesses one at a time, bringing fresh ideas and fresh companies into Palm Beach County to accelerate our knowledge-based economic future with high-wage and high-tech jobs, implementing new initiatives that support the fabric of our success with workforce leaders, educators, chambers, county commissioners, and municipalities as our partners.Our economic development programs and services are partially funded through a contract with the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners. Matching funds are raised from private industry through membership dues and revenues from special events and publications. As one of only two accredited economic development boards in the state of Florida by IEDC, the BDB is recognized as one of the most successful public/private partnerships.
