Founded in 1966, Altamonte Christian School is operated as a ministry of Palm Springs Drive Baptist Church. It is financially self-supporting through tuition and fees. The school is a member of the Florida Christian Conference and an affiliate of the Florida High School Activities Association at the secondary level and the Association of Christian Youth Sports at the elementary and middle school levels. The school s lunch facilities consist of a kitchen and enclosed outdoor eating area. It serves hot lunches, short-order items, as well as snacks and drinks. Altamonte Christian School sponsors chapters of the National Honor Society in grades 10 through 12 and the National Junior Beta Club in grades six through nine.
