Alico Land Development Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alico, which is a land management company operating in Central and southwest Florida. Established in 1960, the company is involved in land leasing and rental, rock and sand mining and real estate sales activities. Alico s land is managed for various uses, including cattle ranching, forestry, farming, grazing, recreation and oil exploration. It operates through its subsidiaries, such as Agri-Insurance Company, Bowen Brothers Fruit and Alico Land Development Company. Alico has a staff of approximately 230 full-time employees. The company s operations include a variety of agricultural and nonagricultural products, including cattle, citrus, corn, eggplant, green beans and sugarcane.
