Alachua County Sheriff's Office is a multidimensional law enforcement agency. Located in Gainesville, Fla., the agency comprises more than 400 deputies, detention officers and nonsworn support employees. ACSO s divisions include operations department, technical and administrative services, and department of the jail. It handles a wide variety of programs, such as criminal investigations, patrol and judicial services, training, communication solutions, fleet and property management, support services, false alarm reduction, and technical systems and information technology services. The agency also oversees fiscal, records and human resources and security operations and staffing services.
