Julie is originally from Lima, Peru, and is fluent in Spanish. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Julie earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and worked as a Crisis Counselor in a psychiatric unit for children. She later earned a Bachelors Degree in nursing and spent many years working on step-down cardiac critical care, neurology and medical/surgical units at a childrens hospital in Florida.
