As early as the 1980's - just a few years into the SUN 'n FUN Fly-In - founding director Billy Henderson and others envisioned an aviation museum to anchor the campus and provide a year-round educational and historic presence. Here I disagree with AAA that called this a "gem". I love planes, but this museum is small and overpriced for what they offer. There are other planes outside, but inaccessible like the Boeing 727...
I took my 2 year old son here because he likes airplanes. It's not the biggest air museum by amy stretch but he and I had a great time! The great thing is that there are plenty things for children...
