Advent Lutheran Church Preschool offers a program that can lead to the discovery of self. Children ages 2-5 come together to learn, to share and to serve in ways that please God. We are committed to providing excellent facilities, curriculum, and materials to assist in the endeavor. We pray that your child's preschool experience will be very special. We feel that growing and learning in a Christian atmosphere at Advent Preschool will make it so. It is the philosophy of Advent Lutheran Church Preschool that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. Preschool children are creative and receptive; the staff strives to nurture and encourage these qualities in the qualities in the children who attend. Advent Preschool provides an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development of the child as a whole. Monthly newsletters are prepared by the staff and the director to keep parents informed of activities going on at the school and the director encourages parents and grandparents to volunteer at the school. There is low student to teacher ratio provided to assure individualized attention. All staff meets or exceeds DCF requirements for childcare providers. The school conducts special programs and has special parties throughout the school year where siblings and family members are encouraged to attend. The pastors of Advent Lutheran Church and the preschool director take an active part in daily activities at the school. Some of programs include literacy programs, language arts, reading readiness, math, computer skills, science, art, physical education, cooking, and music. Advent Lutheran Preschool accepts all children regardless of race, creed, color, sex, national origin or religion. The preschool is licensed by Florida's Department of Children and Families.
