49th Ave Trailhead
The Ocala Mountain Bike Association, established in 1993, has been instrumental in developing the extensive network of over 85 miles of trails within the Cross Florida Greenways. Catering to all skill levels, their trails range from gentle paths for beginners to challenging terrains for experienced riders, making it a destination for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.
Each March, the association hosts the Santos Fat Tire Festival alongside Florida State Parks, bringing together mountain biking fans for a weekend of rides, camping, vendor booths, and skills clinics. Proceeds from the festival are reinvested into the trail system for maintenance and safety initiatives, ensuring a lasting impact on the community and the environment.
