UNIVERSAL FLOORS has stockpiled the largest amount of salvaged antique wood flooring the Washington area. When a historic home or building is slated for demolition, Universal Floors removes the antique floors, stores them until they are needed and keeps them out of the landfill. These old bones are sorted, cleaned and bundled for the next repair or historic restoration project. Our “choose to reuse” approach gives a second life to the valuable wood. Many of the finest homes and historic buildings are graced with our salvaged wood. This wood can be cut into creative and historic patterns or installed in a straight run.
