Store 4 Summer originally started in 2004 as an arm of Mandell Enterprises (at the time it was known as store4summer). The original founder, Matt Mandell, saw that customers, especially students, were being taken advantage of by large storage companies when it came to storing items even for short periods of time, like over the summer. He sought to serve students in a simple, flat rate, way that did not incorporate hidden fees or headaches, and wanted to bring a genuine approach to this business sector. Since its founding, Store 4 Summer has been the go-to solution for thousands of students and numerous University and College Campuses. As of March of 2016, Store 4 Summer introduced new ownership and management with a renewed principle of putting students first and understanding that services directed toward them, like Store 4 Summer, should be a seamless addition to their lives - not a hindrance.
